The city is divided into many districts, each with its own distinct cultures and flavours. New Kindred should learn the areas well before deciding where to establish a haven, and where to hunt for food.

Blue Tree:
A 45-minute drive north of the University will land a person square in the middle of Blue Tree. There was little to see or do in the little town. It was home to a salt mine, and the surrounding land is a nature preserve. This proximity to nature made it an ideal home for a small pack of werewolves. The lupines have long watched over Verdant Falls, as if waiting for something to happen. Rarely, one will venture into the city, but they mostly keep to themselves, as long as Kindred leave them undisturbed. Hunting there was never recommended.
Recently, an unknown disaster caused the entire population of the city to disappear. The area is now swarming with RCMP investigators, legitimate media and, worst of all, several paramnormal investigators. Kindred of the city have been forbidden to approach the area for any reason without the express permission of the Prince.

The Borough:
The Borough is located between the downtown core and Old Verdant Falls. After the cultural blossoming of Verdant Falls, this district became home to many starving artists and wannabe musicians. There are a few high-rise apartments and businesses in the area, but the locals have nurtured many coffee shops and other gathering places for dilettantes and middle class socialites. The sparser population of the area makes hunting easier for more overt predators, while the vibrant night life helps out those who choose to flirt their way to a meal.

Cemetery:
Right in the middle of Old Verdant Falls is the Cemetery. Although many ancient dead are interred at the churchyard, it is somewhat of a misnomer. The Cemetery is the historic site of the original Verdant Falls colony and houses the ruins of the ancient church that once overlooked the site. Police are baffled as to why such a tempting target has time and time again avoided use by homeless or damage from vandals. This site is useless as a hunting ground, and even the most reckless Sabbat would think long and hard before setting foot inside, as it is well known that Mr. Seavers makes his home there.

Downtown:
The proverbial Heart of the City. This section is dominated by high-rise office buildings and acres of storefronts. Many people also call the Downtown area home, as cheap apartments above shops help supplement a business owner’s income. The streets are never empty here, but after 2 am, there are opportunities to drag an unsuspecting meal into an alleyway for a quick bite. The back alleys are also populated with homeless, drunks, and strung-out addicts in the early hours of the morning, if one would deign to feed from them.
The Lantern is located in the Downtown core, as is the Alhambra.
Jacob Holloway, Hasan Al-Rashid, and Jan Bennett all reside in this district.

The Iron Graveyard:
This was the site of a booming industrial complex in the fifties and sixties, but today most of these places stand empty and condemned. Rusted-out silos, dilapidated warehouses, and defunct facilities are all that most kindred find here. Even the homeless must be truly desperate to take up residence here. This is attributed to the fact that the place has a grim reputation. Development of the land seems impossible, and those that actually manage to obtain a building permit find their work crews plagued by disaster after disaster that consume the building budget before anything is built. There are a few operational industries in the area, but the high security of these facilities makes hunting difficult.

Old Verdant Falls:
After the destruction of the original colony, Verdant Falls was rebuilt as a port town. Old Verdant Falls comprises the original site of that renewal. Very few of the oldest buildings have survived, but most of the current structures are at least a half-century old. There are plenty of stores, restaurants and residences in the area, but the structures are less densely packed and the streets less populated. This makes finding prey difficult, but the chances of a predator being witnessed are quite slim.

The Peninsula:
The easternmost part of the city, past the downtown core, was once a vibrant fishing market. However, all of the old fisheries have been replaced by lofts and nightclubs. No one is really sure how the peninsula became the city’s Village, but some attribute its blatantly phallic land formation. Though free love has been harder to find in the days of HIV, this district is considered the primary hunting ground for those who choose to charm the same sex.

Rosewood:
Rosewood is the old quarter of Verdant Falls. The streets are lined with oak trees and wild roses, and the houses range from modest detached homes to opulent mansions. Because of the sparse distribution of homes, and the high percentage of car owners in the neighbourhood, this has proven to be a poor hunting ground for most Kindred - it is difficult to find anyone walking alone at night. There are only a few social gathering places in the area; mostly upscale galleries, opera halls and five-star restaurants. The rest of the area is primarily residential.

The Suburbs:
On the outskirts of the city lie the suburbs. Those that appreciate the convenience of the city but wish to have a spacious home at a reasonable price reside here. It is almost completely residential, with an occasional grocery store or convenience store. Since it is largely a bedroom community, hunting on the streets is incredibly difficult.

Taben’s Ridge:
Taben’s Ridge is a rocky outcropping that separates Verdant Falls from Blue Tree, and the nature preserve. The land is protected against heavy development, but this has not stopped a few people from hiding cabins in the woods. The only hint of development through this area is the highway to Blue Tree. Since this area is not part of the reserve, one can find an occasional hunter out in the wilderness. However, not many mortals hunt at night.

Verdant Falls University:
The lush green university campus has very vibrant weekend nightlife. There are several residence buildings, two campus pubs, and a variety of stores. There are also a few homes and apartments available this far north of the city. In fact, the campus is the northernmost point of Verdant Falls proper. Due to its remote nature, it’s difficult for kindred to hang around the campus after dark without arousing suspicion; unless, of course, they’re a student or professor.
Susan Baron’s haven is just outside the campus.
